Rising Star Academy of Arts is dedicated to promoting a physically & emotionally positive lifestyle through dance, music and theatre education, performance, public service and enjoyment of the arts. Our Story Rising Star Academy of Arts located in Winnipeg, Manitoba was established in September 2010 (previously operated as Dance Academy 1998 – 2010) and has been responsible for providing outstanding dance and theatre lessons ever since. In September 2011, we embarked on our next adventure by opening our doors to the world of music. We specialize in creating and educating dancers, musicians and actors in technique and appreciation of the arts as well as encouraging personal/group responsibility, a healthy lifestyle and community involvement. Positive motivation combined with teaching styles that are nurturing and supportive are the hallmarks of Rising Star. Rising Star Academy of Arts provides current and effective teaching methods through continuing educational experiences in provincial and national dance, music and theatre centres. Each faculty member is an accomplished dancer, musician and/or actor; his/her combined experience, innovation and enthusiasm marks the teaching style at Rising Star. As a parent we realize you have a choice between several schools for your child's arts education. At Rising Star Academy of Arts, we constantly renovate and improve our facilities & programs and provide ongoing training to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best experience possible. We offer classes in all styles of dance, music and theatre instruction and will work to find the right fit for each student. All our faculty and office staff have current criminal record/child abuse registry checks and there is always someone on site with valid First Aid/CPR/AED training. Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy classes are taught through a nationwide network of top quality dance studios. After a detailed application process, Rising Star Academy of Arts has been accepted for this incredible program and we are thrilled to be able to add this to our already popular Little Stars Program. Your child will receive a quality dance education in a caring and fun environment, all based on the beloved Angelina Ballerina character. Each month your child will learn new dance skills and steps based on a new Angelina Ballerina story book. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum is designed by internationally renowned master teachers and child development experts.
