ABOUT Rising Star Academy of Arts

Our Mission:

We are an arts academy that is dedicated to respecting the education, the artistry, and the enjoyment of music and dance by promoting a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle.

Our goal is for children of all ages to build personal skills, self-esteem, and friendships, which they will carry with them through all aspects of their lives.

Our Story:

Rising Star Academy of Arts was established in 1998, operating as Dance Academy. In September 2010 we re-organized the business as a full Arts Academy and a year later had fully integrated our music programs, which continue to grow in number and scope.

We specialize in educating dancers and musicians in the technique and appreciation of the arts. In all of our programs we emphasize personal and group responsibility, healthy lifestyle, building relationships, and community involvement.

We offer multiple classes in all styles of dance and musical instruction.

Students can choose from ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and break-dance at all ages.

For the early beginners are proud to provide the official Angelina Ballerina Dance Program.

Music students can choose from a wide variety of instruments including the most popular piano, guitar, drums, bass, and other string, woodwind, and brass instruments.

Rising Star Academy of Arts provides the most current and professional teaching methods available in provincial and national music and dance centres. Each teacher is an accomplished dancer or musician. Their combined experience and enthusiasm for the art, and the art of teaching is at the heart of the education style at Rising Star.

All teachers and office staff have current criminal record and child abuse registry checks. As well, they are all certified in first aid and CPR.
